...found out you *are* allowed to i-frame it with the auto-dodge master skill. So it's... just a skill off-limits to pawns, I guess.

probably not doing anything other than just hopping in to reset my mystic setup again but fluxclaw changes *do* feel better in that the cooldown increase/cast time decrease incentivizes weaving it in between bell attacks, which i was already doing, instead of just holding down the button

hoping later armours, or dragonforging, lets you reach the same levels of resistances you could get in DD1... though each piece would probably have to be near 50% resists, since there's now only one slot for both upper and lower.

note for later: mark down the exact wordings for options at inns, smithy, maybe general stores, maybe also a few of the elvish weapons I've found too... also take notes on upgraded values between vermundian/elvish. Might be able to do some letter substitution early, learn a few things.

zero mention of siphon life in the patchnotes 👍 meanwhile multibash (a skill that did not need help) and prism (a skill that REALLY did not need help) both got buffs

Imps are completely cooked, siphon life not only has a chance to miss, but monsters can just block the initial hit now so you don't siphon anything. Also you siphon for like one restora total. Also curis is a general spell that Angela hands out for free at lv12 and it heals for the same.

it turns out that items with an unreliably low proc rate are pretty good if you just get an augment that essentially forces proc rates to be guaranteed

okay i got my first win (normal). i did my usual bullet hell thing where i lose repeatedly on the first or second stage of hard and that acclimates me to be able to sightread normal, which is totally a thing i do on purpose and not essentially ragequitting

NOTHING is gonna make the "you are now a gridbug" mechanic feel *good* and i'm not sure if gamepad *helps* but it sure makes my hand cramp a little less (the other option is risk of rain 1 controls)

I think my main criticism is that sometimes floor rectangles are transparent enough to be basically invisible until there's no more bullets on the screen and you realize "oh SHIT i need to be over there

i still do not think it "recreates the essence of high-level MMO raiding" so much as put mmo abilities on a roguelite boss rush bullet hell (afaik there are NO add clear or puzzle encounters) but that is still a fun concept. also i really like the visuals and music

please be aware that i am about to use one of my core class abilities, which is called Ley Lines.
i am placing the Ley Lines NOW.
when i use Ley Lines it places a CIRCLE on the GROUND that losts for THIRTY SECONDS. (sound effect)
if i remain in the circle, my global cooldown will be accelerated by FIFTEEN (15) PERCENT (%).
it is BENEFICIAL FOR THE GROUP if i am ALLOWED to REMAIN inside the Ley Lines.
please let me do my own thing and do not place area of effect attacks inside my Ley Lines.
