Why? Because with lower consumer cost the Chinese can make more profit, and with that profit they are buying Canadian goods as an incentive. Raw materials and food they need.

So in summary, Chinese goods will be significantly cheaper in China. That’s not good for the USA.

I've been running a little experiment on Threads, dumbing-down the ICE crisis into "hey make sure you've got a passport on you in case you're stopped, a regular Real ID doesn't prove citizenship." Many ppl who support ICE have never left the country + don't have passports, so they get defensive.
