passionate centrists/liberal party supporters are terrifying… they’re generally one of two things: delusional or disingenuous. both not good.

i think that’s called gooning.

BROKEN: CBS news.
January 14, 2026 at 9:02 PM
it’s a stationary cruise ship.
January 13, 2026 at 4:18 PM
huh, the same amount we would bring in from speed cameras.
January 8, 2026 at 7:27 PM
oh, and the Thomson ships in the lower gallery which should not be in the building at all… the whole institution feels like it prioritizes itself, fundraising and it’s monied circle, as opposed to the art.
January 7, 2026 at 4:20 PM
and, jeez… do i need to point out how insanely poorly thought out the inner courtyard is?! or, how most elements of the building are just budget versions of things he’s done before?
oh, and i’ll never forget the buckets collecting water from the leaky staircase immediately after opening!
January 7, 2026 at 4:13 PM
for instance: the go7 galleries were an attempt to contemporize the work - too big boxy white gallery, tacky little cnc’d mats around the work, overly lit - this curatorial recontextualization has destroyed the experience and intent of the work… telling us more about the institution than the art.
January 7, 2026 at 4:09 PM
horribly framed and shown… i haven’t been in a while (i don’t like it there!) but last i saw it the G7 stuff looked like an ikea showroom.
January 6, 2026 at 9:11 PM
the spaces do a real disservice to the art it is supposed to be showing (layout, flow, proportions etc…), entrance is an underwhelming mess, the central courtyard re-do is just an atrocity, the group of 7 spaces are a crime, the back end is no friend to the park… i LOVE galleries and i hate the ago.
January 6, 2026 at 6:04 PM
counter dis-agreement: the “new” AGO is one of the worst art galleries i’ve ever visited (navigation, ability to show art properly, general feel etc..)… also, build quality not so good and, honestly, it just looks dumb and tacky and does nothing for the surrounding environment 🤷‍♂️
January 6, 2026 at 4:28 PM
well, how is a developer/wedding guest supposed to make money off of rural land?!
and, never forget: paul calandra stole from his own dead mother… he doesn’t care about your children.

3 paragraphs in… and, yup, you guessed it: they’re worried about their own personal parking.
December 19, 2025 at 2:55 PM
… i should say, in ontario. other provinces do their own thing - but, i believe distribution is still provincial elsewhere?
December 18, 2025 at 8:47 PM
the LCBO is a provincially owned/run retailer and importer/distributer.
December 18, 2025 at 8:45 PM
we’d rather lose money than our sovereignty and dignity… that’s a lesson the americans need to learn.
December 18, 2025 at 4:23 PM
infuriating and insulting… especially considering the issue at hand. not long ago, those involved would have resigned in disgrace… now, they’ll be celebrated and promoted.
December 11, 2025 at 4:35 PM
they’ve robbed a generation, that took a generation to build, of multiple cultural resources across the city… this isn’t really a city anymore.
December 11, 2025 at 3:14 PM
and, all of it is a downgrade to the tune of billions. can’t wait to see what he does with school board properties.
December 10, 2025 at 10:39 PM
there is no problem that can’t be solved with concrete in doug fords ontario.
December 8, 2025 at 5:16 PM
there is green P parking 1/2 a block from here around the corner, metered and free temporary parking zones right in front of the mcdonald’s and a pedestrian crosswalk just 10 feet to the right of this image… rules for thee.
December 5, 2025 at 9:10 PM
like, literally any second year designer could do a better job than what these major platforms roll out… the problem is the executive and managerial class (whose only skills are self advancement) that have to put there two cents in to justify there existence.
as is the case with most creative work.

i thought it said founder of “Kashi” the whole grain cereal maker… that made the statement even more perverse.
December 3, 2025 at 10:02 PM
i should say: well designed, law abiding tech like this with the greater good in mind could be a transportation revolution… but, personal profit motives will always outweigh the public’s safety with these people… if we give them an inch, they’ll take our life. gleefully.
