Guns are pricy.
Used plate armor is cheap because it's heavy and uncomfortable as hell, so you can get it from military surplus.
Meh, hard to parse out how the coo-coo crumbles...

A full plate carrier can weigh up to 30 pounds.

I'd say shooting a postal worker in the head is already in somewhat-deranged (or tweaked out on meth) territory. Plus wearing PLATE armor...

I do know I don't like carrying. OTOH I have a friend who carries their emotional support pistol with them most places.

Basically it's a *traditional norm* that the Speaker administer the oath of office, but it's *constitutional* for a federal judge to administer it.
Considering that the junta likes to toss norms out the window, I think Dems sticking with norms that they violate at will is foolish.
