Can I presume that when a Certain Personage pegs out (a cribbage reference for the kiddie) an all-caps notice will be hung on the WH railings …. and a tsunami will cross the oceans generated by millions of people jumping up and down.

So. Bluesky is not a porn site. It has never offered to show me “adult“ material. So why the age verification via some unknown third party site? Is it the US trying to imply that the UK suppresses free speech or just trying to find a way to monetise us?

Dear sensible people. I think we know what Reform UK stand for (against) nationally, but now they are in charge in various places locally, what are they FOR? Specifically how are they going to make life better for the people who voted for them in the next 4 years?

Bit of a stretch but can’t help feeling the parallels between what is going on in US now and what the Romans and their lackeys did to a small town preacher way back about two millennia ago….

Got to feel sorry for the Customs officers trying to work out what tariffs apply to what goods from where from hour to hour.

How many decades will it be before‘engagement bait’ takes the form of - why did we ever think that chopping down fully grown trees, pulping them, bleaching and turning them into bits of paper just to wipe our noses and then throw away was a good thing?

I can’t believe I am writing this but- I approve of the US move to make all parcels from Chinese fast fashion companies (along with all other stuff coming in that way) subject to import duty. One policy that the UK should copy.

The thing that really annoys me about Political Thinking is the way Nick Robinson gets his interviewees to sound like decent reasonable people. Even the Tories. Gah.

Unexpected heavy snow outside. Still, rather have this than the hoolie blowing further west that is so strong that Paddy had to take down the Coastguard flag before the pole broke.

Good morning world, it’s a brand new day. Have the so-called men in charge given up their respective todger-measuring competitions yet so the rest of ‘their people’ can spend a day without fear?

I was going to post about Goonhilly being back in the news and illustrated with a picture of good old Arthur. Then I went to check and now I think that picture is of Merlin instead. Still got the souvenir polo shirt from when BT did public tours of the site though. Absolutely sure about that.

Question. Had anyone tried to mend a hole in the bottom of of a hessian shopping bag? Did you manage it and what did you use? Mine currently has a piece of robust birdseed bag stopping stuff falling out.
