America: “You’re a bad person if you don’t work! You should have gone to college and gotten a good, stable job to provide for you! We’re tying health care to employment so that you know that health care is a privilege, not a right. Oh, by the way, YOU’RE FIRED.”

Writing a novel really is like putting a puzzle together. You want X element in your story, but oh no, if you have X, Y no longer makes sense. How do you reconcile X and Y? Oh no, don't forget about Z! Z is also a factor that might contradict the logic of X, or X and Y put together. Augh! #amwriting

The frustrating thing about designing book covers (premades) is that I design them the same way I write: by the seat of my pants. I often don't know what genre or plan I'll have for a cover until I make it. "You tell ME what the book is about."

It...surprisingly works out well.

One of my projects has been to catch up on all the YA dystopias I missed in the 2010s, and after reading so many of them back to back I had to make a bingo card

Hey, I'm AJ. I'm a queer, neurodivergent writer, reader, and lover of speculative media working on a dystopian sci-fi series. I'm here to connect with others in the writing community and share my observations and journey. I also love comics and making dice, so I'll probably talk about that too.
