I’m having so much fun in metalsmithing class. Still a long ways to go until this sun pendant is finished: filing, sanding, riveting, soldering and polishing. Stay tuned!

Last Call X at Companion Gallery is online now for your viewing pleasure. So many great works in the show.

Here is one of the finished bottle sets that I posted at the greenware stage a few weeks ago. It took a lot of restraint for me to leave those sipper cups green and undecorated, but I know it was the right choice. Off to Companion Gallery for Last Call.

Every year I try to take a class during the first quarter to stretch myself creatively. This year I signed up for two: a color palette class that is happening now and a metalsmithing class that starts later this month. I hope to integrate some of these palettes into my surface deco this year.

As a childless dog lady without a dog, I decided now is the time to foster. This is Gertie, a senior pup who is crashing here. We are just getting to know each other but the early report is that she is one cool lady. #fosterdog

Working out some bottles and liquor sets inspired by flowers. I had so much fun exploring the flower lids, I think I have amassed 3 different lids for each bottle. As usual, I’m crossing fingers that they look as good after glazing as they do in my head. 🤞 #pottersofbluesky

I am working my way through Todd Oldham’s giant monograph on Alexander Girard and I am smitten with these wooden daisies Alexander “Sandro” carved for his wife, Susan. The book is full of these artistic expressions of love. #love #alexandergirard
