I am sorry for Charlie Kirk's children. I am sorry that our nation is so violent. I'm sorry for the deterioration in our culture this murder will likely accelerate. But I'm not sorry for Charlie Kirk. He was an awful human being who chose to be awful -- an evil man. Good riddance.

pretty sure the world we live in is proof that “don’t platform fascists” was the correct position but now that they have control of all 3 branches of government that ship has sailed. “beat the fascists and ruin their name so badly nobody wants to be associated with them for decades” is the only path
Guys I think we drove way past the "don't platform fascists" off-ramp a few years ago. The mission now is to make sure they look like stupid losers. Thankfully, this isn't too hard.

Democratic leaders -- every small "d" democratic leader -- needs to make clear, over and over again, that we will hold the current batch of law-breaking hooligans responsible for what they have done. Legal consequences, pursued with relentless urgency, prison time, fines. Justice, but no mercy.

They will fail. But still -- maximum resistant! No legislative cooperation. At all.. Lawsuits against everything. Protests in the streets. I have a boatload of money to contribute (to resistance, not DNC "positioning") and will march and march and march. 2/3
