My mum managed to book hers at her usual doctors, if that helps! There were lots of local pharmacies that did it. I hope you can find something that works for you!

I am indeed and I’m so sorry It’s causing you stress! This is the other thing - most people don’t know even know they can book the shots themselves if they’re able to pay. We booked ours at Boots but you can get slots at local pharmacy etc. It’s expensive though - 90 pounds. I’ll put the link!

Whole family have had our Covid boosters! Feeling grateful that we have the money and access. Makes me sick that the govt have yet again narrowed who is eligible. Now my seventy year old mum has to pay, too! Luckily we can pay for her but there is gonna be a lot of old people who can’t.

I’ve watched this happen for years now. People guarding what they think is the reputations of rich, famous people who wouldn’t spit on them if they were on fire. Throwing away every value, every bit of critical thinking, to parrot bigotry dismissing cliches on their behalf.

Even people you know are reasonable will do it. Even people you respect. They’ll berate and unfollow and bully someone even raising it, never mind accepting it themselves. They’ll make it in fashion to ostracise people who bring it up. And guess what happens then.

Stan culture is at this point just one big far right pipeline. People will say anything at all, even things that make it extremely easy for people to increasingly excuse and deny bigotry, if they think it’ll excuse their faves of things that won’t even touch them, really.
