Giving away his commissary to keep the younger cons off his ass. I would have come to his aid, but I knew I would be leaving before him, and things would have gotten bad for him. It was then that I knew his strength came from alcohol. I was only 26 when I got sober. I’m so glad I did.

Spot on! And if one tries to respectfully point that out to them, they use Bible quotes and doublespeak to explain how Satan is working through you. Then they promise to pray for you. I've experienced this more times than I can count. It does get boring. 🥱

I'm just gonna get it out here. After having Uterine cancer in 2023, I can not have a baby. 2 possible adoptions have fallen through because both mommies decided to keep the baby. Which is wonderful. Today my best friend and my cousin both told me they're expecting. It shouldn't but it hurts. Badly.
