This argument is based on a logical fallacy (fans want characters to age with them) which has been long disproven as a canard. What fans want are engaging stories respecting characterization & world building, not editorial fiats based on a world view formed as a 12 year old that never evolved.
Scorching hot take! Wildly unpopular opinion! I agree with this man. Cape comics are the midway point between Archie and soap operas and being in that spot impacts aging and relationships.

I'm surprised because Tom Brevoort has the creative acumen of a stale dry roasted peanut, but that's how bad the Wells run was.
