Like we're told the arbitrary number that's supposed to represent inflation, and then you look at a staple like bread that's risen in cost like 200% in the last couple years and go 'yeah, that doesn't tally up'

Surely it's because even with a higher minimum wage no one can afford to do anything whatsoever because bills and the cost of living are all rising above inflation too?

I can't think of a better descriptor for a centrist than 'voted lib dem as a tactical ploy to ensure right wing Labour beat the Tories on the lowest vote share in living memory - don't like anything the government does, but I'll have to go along with it'
November 16, 2025 at 9:26 PM
Look at what's happening in government right now. You happy with that? Is that what you voted for at the last election? Labour consistently working to the right of the Tories on immigration, gender issues, taxation, social care. "Least worst" - come on, buddy. Own your shitty vote or don't.

Voting for a party that most aligns with one's views and personal politics = protest vote. Gotcha.

Centrists are delusional.
November 16, 2025 at 4:06 PM
Politics under our current system is a colossal waste of time. Saying 'yes I intend to vote for a party I don't support thus pledging my voice to policies I don't agree with' genuinely pickles my brain though. Doing anything to support Labour is unconscionable if you care about social good.

Continue to enjoy your red or blue flavoured fash policy then.
November 16, 2025 at 2:59 PM
And also, anyone framing Lib Dem as a moral choice is also spouting nonsense seeing how readily they aligned themselves with the exact party you profess to want to tactically beat.
November 16, 2025 at 2:58 PM
I think voting for a party whose policies you don't agree with to avoid another party you don't agree with taking one additional vote is a cop out, yeah. Vote for the thing you want or don't bother. As we've seen, Labour or Tory the marginalised, the disenfranchised, the worse off: all fucked.
November 16, 2025 at 2:57 PM
You don't feel this sort of policy is far right in itself? Your vote as an individual is so utterly worthless, doing anything other than voting with genuine conscience seems bananas to me. 'Tactical vote / best of a bad bunch' voting is such a cop out.

I've long hoarded Steam games via bundles, sales etc. When the Deck launched, I was ALL in. Since getting the Steam Deck I have played *one* game on my PS5 - Astrobot. The convenience and breadth was gamechanging.

After ten million years of playing games with minimalist aesthetics it's SO refreshing to play a block puzzle game, the genre with the most baked-in excuse for it, nevertheless somehow manage to go even more maximalist than you had even considered possible

tbh as much as official rereleases are good for accessibility, I also feel like a lot of people just won't play games if they don't have official versions and that's not great for culture. Everyone should be downloading random ROMs until they find that special one that breaks their brain wide open.

Had no idea it was launching this soon either! Immediate purchase.
