The rewilding project going particularly well this year. Spent a while looking for new species. And found a couple baby Monarchs!

They aren't allowed on the furniture in the house. But they are free to enjoy the old couch in the barn. And they take advantage whenever they can.

Me: Should I put her outside? It's 40 degrees though, is that too cold? Would she be safer inside? Maybe, but what kind of life would it be, hanging out on a wall? Could she ever be happy??

Feeling sad for our local killdeer. They built a nest near our barn, right in the gravel and sand (can you see the eggs?). Alas, the crows got em. I wonder if the killdeer will try again.
