like in works without smut the way the characters are described is usually less about their actual body and more about their presence/their personality/etc whereas in most smut you are going to describe body parts necessarily and it feels invasive to me to read that bc they're played by real people

i'm uncomfortable with reading smut pretty much at all tbh but i find that it's more uncomfortable with live action characters, not because their characters are inseparable from the actors but because smut is a lot more involved with describing someone's body if that makes sense.
