Just curious, why the move from Patreon to email?

seems silly, but I found myself getting into the same trap of caring how many 'likes' a post got on patreon

the feature I liked most was email updates to members, but patreon isn't built as an email tool. by switching, I get to reach you directly, without you having to go on another app or platform.

and with email, there are no like counts. it feels quieter without the social media noise.

one reason I chose patreon initially was that they give you direct access to your audience - they let you export member emails. very creator friendly
