Yep. Used on all of series 1 and only replaced on repeats.

I think the list of people who would and have played this on radio is quite short. You and me.

God, that Miss Piggy ad-lib. He's so great.

Roberts is an awful old cunt. Ask anyone involved with Doctor Who.

The PIN for my work computer is my oldest friend's phone number from when we were teenagers. He has a safe at his work, and the combination on it is MY phone number from when we were teenagers.

If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.
Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?
2? Questions
I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

We've talked about it before. Funnily enough, the Great Mattacks' one that got away was a Rogers with a 24".

I own a steampunk Premier Resonator with a 24". I have not yet used it. It's just in my storage. I should remedy that.
cheeseford.bsky.social
Needs must. That Rogers is the kit you really wish you'd never got rid of, isn't it?

My 15yo child, unexpectedly: “Yeah, I have at least 3 LinkedIn accounts. All fake. I use them to check on my teachers’ qualifications. I keep getting job offers because I ticked something that said I used to work in middle management for Asda.”

This is AMAZING. Your 15yo is a comic genius.

Trevor Chaplin and Jill Swinburne are the British Nick and Nora Charles. Wonderful television, smart and clever and yet comforting at the same time. And the casting and settings are almost as perfect as Plater's scripts. A joy.

A Premier logo head on a Rogers kit? Spicy.

Oh goodness, my pleasure. It's one of the very best things there is.

A television series everyone should see.

I think it was a @cheeseford.bsky.social post a few months ago that alerted me to The Beiderbecke Trilogy (thank you!). I'd never heard of it so I'm watching it for the first time. A good thing too as this may get me back into listening to jazz. James Bolan and Barbara Flynn make a fab couple.

On Newsnight the other evening, Richard Bacon wore a jacket that strobed horrendously.
