Librarian, Knowledge Manager, Data Protection Officer and Records Manager. Let me know if I can be of any further help.

Bored, so I thought I'd 🧵 my #DoctorWho and professional #library, knowledge management, records management and book related passions together, and chart the occurrences they appear in the time travelling programme. No doubt I've missed some, so please let me know.
Sorry, but librarians were way ahead of you when it comes to 'sex cardigans'.

Had everyone woken up today with the intention of being annoying, or have I woken up today just being annoyed by everyone?

Twitter accounts are based in Russia. BlueSky accounts are based in homes with, frankly, too many books, plants, obsolete cables, and pieces of rustic pottery, that could do with a bit of a tidying up, to be honest.

I used to handle interlibrary loans for a public library. ILL is a magnificent expression of the idea that readers deserve books, and books deserve readers. It’s libraries everywhere pooling their resources for the benefit of everyone.

Killing IMLS could have killed ILL.

This is great news. 📚

I do hope that Olly Murs's new album - Knees Up - is just covers of Chas 'n' Dave songs and pub classics.

Encouraging to see the scandal of changes to the BBC Written Archives Centre mentioned in this important piece for City AM from the British Academy's Hetan Shah. "We must remember that ideas, knowledge and research are a long-term source of innovation." www.cityam.com/the-british-...
The British library is in crisis: why does nobody care?
The widespread indifference to the British Library's crippling cyberattack demonstrates a perilous failure to value the knowledge infrastructure vital for national prosperity

Starting my watch of Object Z tonight.

Everyone seems remarkably calm since they only have six weeks to live.

So far, so UNIT-era Doctor Who. Is there nothing that programme hasn't r̶i̶p̶p̶e̶d̶ ̶o̶f̶f̶ paid homage to?
You had me at "Unseen since its first transmission on ITV in 1965..."

An always welcome Neil Innes thread.
From @ericidle.bsky.social & Neil Innes' brilliant & criminally overlooked/unavailable RUTLAND WEEKEND TELEVISION, here's a truncated glimpse of George Harrison's Christmas 1975 guest appearance runner, where he didn't want to perform a song - He really just wanted to play a pirate...

I'd assumed after all these years that Bond/007 was a pseudonym/job role, hence different actors playing him (and therefore, anyone could play him). I didn't realise it was meant to be the same person.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."
