A decades old legendary banh mi spot just 8 mins away from where I live (can’t believe I just discovered this place). They have the most heavily sauced banh mi I’ve tasted but not overwhelming, and got good meat and crackling portions.

Travelled 1.5 hrs from the southernmost to north for ‘the best banh mi in Sydney’. Figured I won’t be here often so ordered two extra to try more items. meat volume of crispy pork roll is crazy…classic pork roll doesn’t look having a lot meat pieces but still taste balanced

Comes into recommendation when searching ‘the best pasta in Sydney’. I usually won’t order cacio e pepe in restaurant but if they told you ‘our cacio e pepe is the famous one’ you know you’re ready for the best you ever had.

Seems that you need to be early for most of their famous items (that are not showing on menu) but their specialty strawberry ricotta toast does not require this. Forgot to pair it with coffee so I’m glad it’s not the ‘too sweet’ type, very balanced.

Right next to Kinokuniya but somehow I ignored every time, just recently found out it has opened for almost 30 years and is one of the most acclaimed ramen place in Sydney. Good broth and chewy noodles, also highly recommend their aburi chasuu.

Always wanted to find a place offers better nasi lemak than Mamak, and this one may be a good contender. Very strong coconut flavored rice and generous portion of ayam goreng, though their rice a bit overcooked for my taste.
