Interesting that on re-reading the book I'm #TeamEdgarLinton when most adaptations portray him as weak, not manly and a pushover in favour of Heathcliff the brooding agent of chaos.
The book shows Edgar as loving. He lays golden crocuses on her pillow & they're happy until Heathcliff comes back
