And I love how it shows the Black middle-class and in S3 the Black upper class and prejudices within their own community.
I'm hoping Peggy (the Black plucky journalist) gets her share of balls and romance, not just "issues". S3 gave her romance, finally 🙌🏽

Started watching The Gilded Age with a friend because I thought she'd like it and now I'm 1.5 seasons deep in a full rewatch.
This show is so much better than Downton.
It has Harlem Renaissance, the industrial age, social mobility at the cusp of the modern age.

That was a pretty straight forward adaptation. They didn't play with Nelly as an unreliable narrator. They did do the whole book though.
I liked the design of the farm; usually it's too grand.
MacFayden as Hareton gets the happy ending 🙌🏽
It was okay. Good Gothic madness. Cathy was meh
