I'm still thinking about Angel Down, months after reading it.

Chile just demonstrated this again recently, right? A huge majority voted to rewrite the constitution in 2020, but then rejected the first draft and I think no second draft has yet appeared.

Also it conformed to all common biases - little white kid gets a Labrador, gay couple gets a sassy small dog, tough non-white military guy gets a huge mastiff, and everyone is crying tears of joy. It feels too digestable to be real.

Tip if you're cheap: the basic recipe from World Health Org is 1L water, 1/2 tsp salt, 2 Tbsp sugar. There's also an updated version with potassium & chloride.
