President Zelenskyy is a great inspiring leader of enormous character, contrasted by Trump/Vance/Musk as Putin‘s shameful boot-licking toadies and “useful idiots”.

Like T.S. Eliot and other artists, I have put many personal elements in my work. My cat, who lived with me for 20 years, my mother, father, and my self-portrait are in the work.

Typography, by Cher Pizzi, inspired by Matisse's White Torso and Blue Torso. Left shape is front view of torso, and right is side view of torso. Shapes are flat but atom or planet-like spheres create a sense of dimension and relationship. Type kerned to reflect the forms.

Transcription of Balthus "The Dream," gouache on paper, 5.5" x 7.5". I enjoy the rhythmic patterns of colors and shapes in this composition. I am also intrigued by the theme of dreams or times of transition.

Love the composition and rhythms set up in this painting "Le Jour" by Georges Braque.

Wonderful landscape by Gustav Klimt.
Litzlberg am Attersee by Gustav Klimt

Amalie Redlich inherited the painting Litzlberg am Attersee (1915) by Gustav Klimt from her brother Victor. In 1941, Amalie Redlich and her daughter Mathilde were deported by the National Socialists to Łódź and murdered.

Honoring Martin Luther King, Jr. on his birthday, his life, and continuing inspiration. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Freedom sculpture is by Zenos Frudakis.
Martin Luther King, Jr. and Freedom is the first public sculpture in Australia honoring the life and legacy of American civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr. It integrates my bust of Martin Luther King, Jr. with the Freedom sculpture, which depicts the concept of breaking free.

Wonderful painting by Georges Braque! I am currently reading an excellent book about this artist, "Georges Braque--The Great Painter for the 20th Century--A Work in Progress. It is written by Bernard Jacobson. It is a great read with active language and thorough research.

These beautiful 17th century Iranian iris tiles are in the Aga Khan Museum in Toronto, but my research with Lisa Golombek eventually reconstructed an entire frieze filled with peacocks.

"I do not believe in things. I believe in relationships."
- Georges Braque

If I try to paint an apple, it may only be a symbol of an apple that resides in my mind. When I look, really look at what is present, that is when the journey and excitement of discovery begins.

Paper and painted collage after Georges Braque's Nature morte à la grande cruche, 1955. Braque's work is masterful, and I love his composition and color palette. In my collage, I painted our Egyptian coffee pot which also has style and playful shapes.
