Focusing on results works for a little while but not long. Focusing on the path works for a lifetime.

Mastery is the name of the game.

Process. Process. Process.
Stop comparing.
Be patient.
Be Present.

Training is not the test. The race is the test.

Hi Daniel,

In my experience, the only route to consistent, long-term, improvement in endurance sports is to slowly, and progressively, increase the training volume.

It might not be a popular message, but it's an honest one.
Hey Coach.

I'll be doing FATmax test soon. Realistically I can average around 9-10 hours per week on the bike throughout the year. Mid 30's Cycling 4 years, 3.5 w/kg want to get to 4

1. Is it possible to make gains with this volume ?
2. Do I need intensity with so little volume ?

If there are 3 common threads between the athletes who improve long-term vs those who do not...

1/ Much lower average intensity. 🚶

2/ Much slower ramp of training volume. 🐢

3/ Recovery on demand (i.e. listening to their body). 🛌
