A Reuters photographer captured this image of a page from Pam Bondi's "burn book," which she used to counter any questions from Democratic lawmakers during an unhinged hearing today.

It looks like the DOJ monitored members of Congress’s searches of the unredacted Epstein files.

Just wow.

Clintons keep pushing for public hearings as Comer digs in his heels
Clintons keep pushing for public hearings as Comer digs in his heels
House Oversight chair James Comer published emails Thursday between his committee and the legal team for Bill and Hillary Clinton, laying out the terms for the depositions the former president and secretary of state are set deliver at the end of the month under threat of being held in contempt of Congress. The decision to share that correspondence — which shows the Clintons agreed to transcribed depositions — comes as the Clintons are now doubling down in their desire to appear in open hearings rather than behind closed doors. “Let’s stop the games,” Hillary Clinton wrote on social media Thursday morning. “You love to talk about transparency. There’s nothing more transparent than a public hearing, cameras on.” A separate email blast from the press office of Bill Clinton asked recipients to call Comer’s office to demand answers as to why interviews the committee is conducting as part of its Jeffrey Epstein investigation are not happening in public settings. Comer has previously suggested he is opening to facilitating a public forum for questioning the Clintons, who previously defied congressional subpoenas to participate in the panel’s Epstein inquiry. They finally decided to comply at the eleventh hour of a GOP-led effort to hold them in contempt, where many Democrats could have voted alongside Republicans and the former first couple ran a very real risk of being put in jail by the Trump Justice Department. In a statement, a spokesperson for Oversight Republicans suggested the Clintons should tread lightly, accusing them both of “spin[ning] the facts” and “moving the goalposts.” She also noted that former Attorney General Bill Barr and former Labor Secretary Alex Acosta both appeared for closed-door interviews with the panel as part of the probe that were filmed. “The Clintons were issued bipartisan subpoenas for depositions — not a hearing,” she said.

From the Editorial Board: The good news for voters otherwise predisposed to Kat Abughazaleh is that there’s a youthful progressive candidate in the race with similar views but who comes with a record of service and without the ego: Bushra Amiwala.

Like I was saying earlier.. she is a drama queen, a performance artist, unqualified and out for herself. A complete disaster.
From the Editorial Board: Kat Abughazaleh made a show of declining (sending a spokesman, for goodness sake) to be part of the editorial board’s endorsement interviews after first informing us she would attend.

Now THIS is what is really important to IL 9 voters!
I’m excited to join @shannonrwatts.bsky.social, founder emerita of Mom’s Demand Action and author of “Fired Up,” to discuss public safety and gun violence. This is a conversation that feels so crucial in the midst of intense violent campaigns of terror from our federal government.

Shes a grifter- and highly unqualified. I believe she's now blocked me.
Unitemized donors (those who gave less than $200 this cycle) are not disclosed, so it's hard to fully determine where the over $1.89 million of her $2.7 total came from

Will have a more complete breakdown later

It's not quite the most pressing issue at the moment, but the American people absolutely have a right to know the names of the federal officials who shot and killed a man peacefully protesting, who was on his knees, prone in the street when they shot him in the back.

Wow! This read-along of the NYT moment-by-moment leading to the murder of Alex Pretti should shake everyone awake. He was a Good Samaritan.

Agents fired at least ten shots in roughly five seconds. DHS and Pam Bondi claim Pretti approached them armed and intent on a “massacre.”

Walz: "To Americans who are watching this, I've got a question for you: What side do you want to be on? The side of an all powerful federal govt that can kill, injury, menace, & kidnap its citizens off the streets? Or on the side of a nurse at the VA hospital who died bearing witness to such govt?"

Smart Answer...
AOC: An agency that is attacking U.S. citizens, kidnapping five-year-olds and using them as bait, and privately circulating the idea that they can violate the rights of Americans by busting down their doors—they deserve to be defunded, and I’ll take any step in that direction.

ALL OF THIS! Thread:
*checks notes*

The majority of white men & women voters who chose this yet again as always since the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Everyone else who voted for it too.

Everyone who sat out

Everyone who voted against it but spent the whole time suppressing the vote

Access journalists normalizing it…
There’s is no shortage of people to blame for this particular moment in American history

A story I found about Haiti:

In 1999, a group of Haitians were tired of political disorder and dreamed of a better life in the United States. So they built a small, 23-foot boat by hand using pine trees, scrap wood, and used nails. They called the boat "Believe in God."
