This week’s
#ShowMeYourKnits prompt is sweaters, so here’s my favourite, the Fine Sweater that I made a couple of years ago - a fantastic pattern by Yu Jie 🧶
My current work in progress for #ShowMeYourKnits - sleeve number one for Emu Aran jumper pattern 4791 (front and back done already) 🧶

This week’s #SewAndTell prompt is projects made from scraps - here are a few things I made during my unemployed stashbusting period

Here’s a cable knit that should have been part of last week’s #ShowMeYourKnits scary theme - lovely wool but obviously not a good choice for this horror story baby cardi - this one did not progress! 🧶

Also for #ShowMeYourKnits the most cabled cable knit ever (a Marie Wallin pattern) which took up a lot of lockdown time 🧶

This week’s #ShowMeYourKnits theme is cables, so here are a few cabled baby knits 🧶

#SewAndTell is sewing horror stories. There are makes I’ve snipped into by accident, one I cut with the overlocker, but the worst is where I fall in love with a pattern that doesn’t work at all for me. Here’s an unfinished pinafore where the bodice is just too short and the gathers do not sit well!

Amazing and very inspiring work 🧶

Yet another #ShowMeYourKnits knitting horror story (I seem to have a lot of these!). This cardi in Kidsilk Haze has been attacked by moths (holes on the front and the right sleeve). I’m thinking I might knit some tiny patches, rather than try to darn it. Also, less heavy buttons needed!

Another knitting horror story for #ShowMeYourKnits - Fred Perry pattern released for a wool week promo but very odd pattern (no needle sizes, for a start). Obviously I guessed a size that I thought would work and ended up with a ginormous cardi!!

#ShowMeYourKnits this week is Knitting Horror Stories - this was a jumper I made in Rowan Felted Tweed that went in a hot wash and became VERY felted - I now have some very fancy felt (see leaves randomly attached to this bag I sewed!) 🧶

This week’s #SewAndTell theme is purple - here’s a stripy Fibre Mood Crystal skirt (which always photographs badly but looks much better on) and a purple needlecord Tilly & The Buttons Indigo dress, which gets a lot of wear every winter #garmentsewing

This week’s #ShowMeYourKnits theme is HATS - here’s my favourite, knitted from scraps 3 years ago and intentionally large but still my go-to hat when it gets a bit chilly 🧶

This week’s #SewAndTell prompt is unfinished objects, so here is my winter coat in progress. The outer is mainly done, although the collar is only tacked on at the minute, I haven’t started sewing the lining yet (hope to do more this week). Sorry for bad photos! #garmentsewing 🪡

This week’s #ShowMeYourKnits theme is SPOOKY - I don’t have anything very obvious for this, but I do think My Neighbour Totoro is quite spooky in places, so here is a Totoro knitting trial 🧶

#SewAndTell week 7 is Scary week! Why is this Sew Over It top in Liberty fabric so scary?! I will spare you the photo of me wearing it, but let’s just say the pattern placement is very unfortunate! It’s now part of my quilted jacket #garmentsewing

For this week’s #ShowMeYourKnits it’s sock time! I really don’t enjoy knitting socks, but I made these tiny Christmas stockings for my work team 🧶

#wipwednesday guess who volunteered to run a crafting session on the Mental Health Awareness event at work?! Today I will be making Mind Bee kits for the event next week (trial runs made yesterday below) #fiberarts

Of course if I spelt #SewAndTell correctly that might help!
This week’s #SewAmdTell theme is animals, so here’s my very loud tiger dress (free pattern from one of the sewing magazines) #sewsky

Just remembered that I have a very literal knit for the #ShowMeYourKnits joy theme - this is one of the Christmas tree decorations I made for my work team a couple of years ago 🧶
