This week’s
#ShowMeYourKnits prompt is sweaters, so here’s my favourite, the Fine Sweater that I made a couple of years ago - a fantastic pattern by Yu Jie 🧶

This week’s #ShowMeYourKnits theme is SPOOKY - I don’t have anything very obvious for this, but I do think My Neighbour Totoro is quite spooky in places, so here is a Totoro knitting trial 🧶
Knitted Totoro motif in purple and white

40 years after I first saw this TOTP I am still shouting at the TV!

True (but it did look as though I had targets on my chest when I wore it!)

I’m a big fan of @sewoveritlondon.bsky.social patterns - the instructions are always pretty clear and there are some really nice vintage-inspired designs

When I worked at Paramount we were really excited about Annihilation and played a clip from the film with this track on it to all of our partners, so I got to hear it over and over - and then Paramount sold the film to Netflix so we didn’t get to release it! Still love this song though!

#SewAndTell week 7 is Scary week! Why is this Sew Over It top in Liberty fabric so scary?! I will spare you the photo of me wearing it, but let’s just say the pattern placement is very unfortunate! It’s now part of my quilted jacket #garmentsewing
V necked vest style top in Liberty print fabric with motif sitting in a very inappropriate position across the chest area!

“That must be very relaxing”, they say. Relaxing would not be one of the words I would use!

Thank you! I was thinking that lip balm might be good too!

Thank you! I found some red wool in the cupboard the other day so I might make some more this year

For this week’s #ShowMeYourKnits it’s sock time! I really don’t enjoy knitting socks, but I made these tiny Christmas stockings for my work team 🧶
8 knitted Christmas tree decorations - green mini stockings with white toes and heels and Fair Isle patterns

I’ve been through this a few times - fell in love with a pattern only to find out the finished item really doesn’t suit me. It’s so frustrating! But I think you just have to think of it as a learning and move on to another project. No-one talks much about disasters here but we all have them!
