The two things suppressing home construction now are tariffs & high interest rates caused by tariffs. Developers don't have incentive to build because buyers can't afford mortgage rates. The cost to build homes increased bc of tariffs & higher interest rates. It's such a con to blame immigrants.

This needs to be a loop! It was so obvious that Trump knew he'd create inflation with his temper tantrum tariffs, then pressure the fed to lower interest rates.

US kids are traumatized by this. Take it from an adult who watched the Vietnam war on TV when she was a kid. The memories are formative years stuff. The fear that ICE will take their friends off the street will be deep in their psyche. They will remember this forever.
