if you press the power button 5 times on an iOS device it will lock and only unlock again via passcode. in the Settings app, under Face ID & Passcode, there is a setting on the bottom to erase all data after 10 failed passcode attempts. just sayin’

was reading some articles yesterday about people being detained (and tortured???) at logan airport by ICE
i haven't been a fan of posting for a long time because just posting "[thing] is bad" feels exhausting and feckless but i guess not doing it is worse? so idk here's some posts

it makes me kind of sad that i'm the perfect age to never hear the end of physical games discourse. these people will never learn how a computer works and i'm going to have to listen to it for the rest of my life because we're in the only age cohort that this will ever matter to.
