I've read This Slavery, given a copy to one friend, lent a copy to another, and left a copy on the book swap shelf in my local café. Was very happy to see this week that someone has taken it from the café.
It's great. Read it!

Today on 314th day of the continuous protests in Tbilisi the police tried to unblock the road and stopped restricting the traffic. The cars started to come on Rustaveli meanwhile people were still standing on the road. Protesters stopped the coming cars and reoccupied the road.

Hello America & Canada, it’s publication day for This Slavery!

It’s the story of two sisters living in 1910s UK who work in cotton weaving factories. It’s about women’s place in industrial capitalism, and how marriage can be about power & control.

It’s also an inch-thick comic with a dog in it

And I expect this also to be righteously strident, passionately polemical and powerfully enraging, as Neil & Rukmini tell this never-more-timely tale on stage. ⏬️ ⏬️

At last week's members meeting, we voted on ending our dispute. Administrators offered to pause compulsory redundancies until February, at which point they will begin in full what they have threatened all along.

Over 90% of members in attendance voted to reject this (non-)offer.
