What great albums came out when you were 21

Season 7 was a season of two halves. We were 18th at the halfway point but finished 8th, our highest placing.

The turning point was ditching 442 variations and longball tactics.

Very normal and healthy behaviour.

Meltzer's Raw on Netflix analysis estimates Nielsen equivalent, US same day viewership at just above a million 😬

There is a lot of educated guesswork, as Netflix are being notably obtuse with the numbers they release but this looks like a story to follow.

Season 6 was pretty similar to season 5. Comfortable survival except with hints the board except a little more.

I probably would have done better except for an ill-advised 442 experiment for the final 8 games after safety was assured.

Lastly, Irish hold-out Tony Folan finally left the club.

We stayed up in the PL in Season 4. It was a comfortable season except for the board starting to get worryingly ambitious.

This was also the season where we signed future legend Seth Plummer.

We finished Season 4 as D1 champs tinkering with 3 different tactics, depending on the opposition. This was despite an injury crisis, which left me playing two MCs in central defence by the end of season.

My season 3 bid to return to the Prem at the first attempt faltered after a disastrous first leg in the playoff semi finals.

The year was one of transition, without a settled formation or first XI all season. The hope was it would at least provide a building block for the younger players.

In season 2 our luck ran out. Miller got too big for his boots and my investment in youth (SWP, Gerrard, Mills, Carroll, Davies) would take a few more years to pay any dividends.

We finished rock bottom but I somehow kept the job and the squad's now all British with the exception of Tony Folan.

Over on the Elon app I was running a year's long #CM9798 save managing Crystal Palace with only Brit players. Since moving to Blue Sky, I've wanted to recap it here.

Season 1 we offloaded most the foreigners whilst managing to stay up, thanks to Kenny Miller having a player of the year performance.

My 28 RevPro recs, btw. Out of 88 matches rated, which is a great ratio to be fair.

Post a *perfect* album from the '80s that isn't Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, The Smiths, The Cure, or New Order.

My 2024 Cagematch Odyssey saw me rate 1,225 matches from this year, including 92% of all matches rated 8+ after 50+ votes.

I gave 7 matches 10/10:
Ospreay v PAC/Danielson/Takeshita/Oku
Jacobs v Oku (24/8)
Swerve v Danielson
Kitamiya v Ishii (2/1)

My lowest score was a 2 for Kamen v Harajuku.

Paul Levesque wondering if he can politik removing Lee Fitting's name from WWE's "credit roll".

Who was the first wrestler who made you fall in love with professional wrestling? 🤼

Jake Roberts was my in. One of my buddies had his action figure, and I thought the snake was so cool. His coldly delivered promos and DDT killshot sealed the deal.

Survivor Series was the worst PPV I've watched this year, edging out NXT Vengeance Day.

I thought I'd finished my WWE catch up. I've watched 38 matches rated 8+ on Cagematch, with at least 50 votes (and plenty of others too). But someone must have up voted a match up to an 8 rating.

After it all, there are 4 WWE matches I can recommend in 2024, and they feature at least 1 European.

I'm doing pretty good. I'm glad to find you on here. How are you?

I'm into 2013 now and losing the will to go on, but I planned to go 20 years, and I'm sticking to it!

What's a wrestling match you can watch over and over and never get sick of?

Well, I don't re-watch a lot of wrestling, but the perfect contender is Ishii and Shibata's G1 sprint.
