Just remembered the most divorced group of men on the table opposite me on the train to Edinburgh. They were downing Buckfast and Stella at 10am and playing poker with porn playing cards. They got so drunk they all got lost despite a train being a straight line).

Luckily, Gail, Scottish people famously won't hold a grudge.

We've all had a day at work where we've had this exact facial expression.

Probably should have known this one before, but just learned that Daphne Ashbrook from the 1996 Doctor Who TV Movie and Dana Ashbrook from Twin Peaks are siblings.

I do like London at night. Lots of flashes of colour and sharp angles.

I didn't love Sentimental Value the way I did The Worst Person In The World, partly because I felt it let one character off the hook way too easily. But I liked it a lot, and Renate Reinsve continues to be astonishing.

A gorgeous sunset in Bounds Green. For an area that's not *that* photogenic, I love this.

Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn't Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, or Alice In Chains

I saw a clip about Midnight in Paris, explaining that Owen Wilson learns to give up on shallow interests and appearance and go after something that's more about a real connection, meeting... Lea Seydoux, which seems at odds with the point being made.

Feeling a little more Christmassy.

Walmart sells something that claims to be a 'banana cleaner'. The description is a weird work of genius, including boasting '120 minutes on a single charge, which meets daily use' and explaining 'just wipe it with a towel'.

Stare at them for long enough and you'll see...

If you're free on Friday, we're doing a live full-cast audio reading (with live electronic score) of A Christmas Carol at the @allgoodbookshop.co.uk! There's a bar too, so it should all make for a festive night!

What the actual fuck, Google? Showing Trump's awful nonsense as the answer to 'what caused Rob Reiners' death' and supposedly attributed to @cnn.com.

Not a caption, but the facial expressions just made me think of this.

Left: Keir to left wingers wanting the rich to be taxed.
Right: Keir to right-wing anti-vaxxers and bigots

With Cena, they didn't. They just kept him being the same guy over and over again. For years and years and years. Still playing the good guy without changing. Despite, at times, being booed out of the building.

If you're not aware, Cena was vociferously booed for years by WWE fans. Like, it was such a thing, one of the t-shirts the company sold (and Cena got the profits for) was a 'We Hate Cena' shirt. And then made him being above the hate a slogan of his for years.

Caught up with my dad, who has been through some stuff recently. We continue to look irritatingly like a before-and-after hairdye commercial.

Pillion is tremendous. Very funny, tender, hot and complicated in the right way. It gets a lot of the kink right, in terms of making clear what doesn't work at times. Really impressive film.

Looking at all your harvest word clouds.

Why is it so nightmarishly bright? The original show looks SO good. This remaster looks like Bewitched.
