Doesn't everyone want to go back to a world where if a company knowingly made CSAM while the owner laughed about it, that the company would just instantly die?

My husband was on the 2 train and a guy started braying about how Renee Good deserved to die and her "lesbian lover" did too. My husband got pissed and said, "You're absolutely disgusting." "Fuck you!" the guy said. "Fuck YOU!" my husband said. The guy left.

See? We just need to talk to each other.

Elon Musk: "I'm a free speech absolutist!"

Also Elon Musk: "Anyone who teaches students that America was built on stolen land is guilty of treason and should be imprisoned."

Look, some of us tried to warn people that Elon Musk doesn't care one bit about free speech. But did anyone listen?

We're now seeing headlines that claim X is blocking Grok from complying with requests to undress and sexualize women. Wrong again gang — it happily stripped me, gave me bigger breasts, and put me in pornographic poses, entirely for free. All I had to do was ask.

X hasn’t really stopped Grok AI from undressing women in the UK
Meanwhile Elon Musk insists users are to blame for what they do with his bot.

Amazon hired a ton of big British actors for their latest go-round of HARRY POTTER audios and goddammit, you’re going to listen to them or else 😡
4 out of 5 previews on my audible home screen are for Harry Potter related items. I have a hard time believing that that's the level of demand.

It's why i keep reiterating the point that if you just "read what looks good", the likelihood is high that you're reading what someone else wants you to.

As always, Talia's writing is profound.

Her conclusion eerily resonates with Lundy Bancroft's book, "Why does he do that", that I've come across recently.

His conclusion is that there is only one way to reliably get an abusive man to stop his abuse: forcing him to.

The same applies to patriarchy.
Today, I would like to present a deep dive into feminist history that got away from me.

Like, really got away from me.

It is about the futility of a politics of appeasement. It is about the unburial of a neglected feminist history. But most of all, it's about lesbian feminism, and sins unforgiven.

Advert buyouts often used to get performers their deposit on their first home. This one covers a fraction of one month’s rent.

It’s called a buyout because it’s supposed to buy you out of being in competitors’ adverts for ~3 years. So this is valuing the performer at just under £7/month.
Just saw a job posting for a TV commercial with a buyout of £250. GOD that is fucked.
