Local assisted living facilities are taking additional security measures because the residents don’t want their care to be interrupted when ICE abducts their staff. Schools are closed for the safety of students, faculty, and staff. There is no facet of society or stage of life unaffected.

Not an exaggeration at all to say that the feeling in Minneapolis is that the entire metro area is being treated as occupied territory by federal agents. Impossible to overstate how overwhelmingly people here do not like it. This does not feel sustainable.

also, if you're like! a sleuth! you could probably figure out what band this is based on things I've said/replied to pals about. this band's already been referenced pretty prominently in the comic, AND IT WAS relatively recently (I mean more than just a parody logo/poster appearance)...

One of the things I love working with oil pencils and a toothy paper instead of ink on bristol are the textures I can get that you can't get with ink even using dry brush: like that special swirling texture of dark brown tightly curled textured hair.

Was looking through my old gallery on my iPad and found this thing I drew for Asexual Awareness Week in…2019?2020? Somewhere around that time.

I can neither confirm nor deny that this is what I mean when I say I’m asexual.
Cranebones looks up surprised, saying. “Oh shoot! It’s Asexual Awareness week. Uh… Um…” He then switches to a more enthusiastic tone and proceeds to explain Asexuality incorrectly. “Hey guys! Asexuality is a thing! Wooooo!! Some people (like myself) were born with the ability to reproduce on our own and just kind of split into clones of ourselves.” A clone pops into frame saying, “Salutation!” Cranebones Prime responds with an “oh my…” Cranebones Prime smiles ominously at their new clone as they say “But, because having clones is weird… we have to kill them.” Cranebones Prime stabs his clone in the neck, and blood spews out. A shot of the mountains with a red sky. Cranebones continues, “…and bury the bodies before anyone finds out.” Cranebones Prime looks down at his hands which are covered in blood. Behind him, the sound of screaming is written in red and echos all around him. The text reads. “The blood on my hands will never come off. The screaming will never end.” A blank panel with a tiny Cranebones. Cranebones grins and gives a double thumbs up. “Now that you’re aware. Carry on and HAVE A NICE DAY!!”

and when it doesn't happen they lose patience and get disillusioned and drop out of movement work
