we were celebrating the fact that now, at last, he HAS an immune system -- but he still hasn't been able to complete most of his vaccines (like his MMR), because those all got put on pause the moment he got his leukemia diagnosis and went on chemo.

Lots of things are uncertain, my sinuses still haven't recovered from all the vog of my home island, BUT I got to hang out with my little 2-year old nephew last night who almost died several times fighting a rare form of leukemia that's now fully in remission, so y'know, life isn't all bad

I feel like more people need to know that Chiitan appears as a competitor in the 2023 reboot of Takeshi's Castle that has English subtitles on Prime Video. (if you liked the og Ninja Warrior/SASUKE where there's lots of comedy in the opening challenges, then know Takeshi's Castle is EXTREMELY that)

Ahhh, yes!! Definitely one of the manpu conventions I picked up over the years. I love using the inward/negative tail to indicate the direction of where the off-panel speaker is, too, just like a regular balloon tail.
