The reMarkable is great if you only need those 3 features. I use RM2 daily, love it. I can see that many might find it limiting but they won't change, "less is more" is a core part of their brand/marketing.

It'll be fine, just use Linux. I'm averaging a distro swap rate of once every 6 years.
