Hi Jojo, you seem like a kindred spirit! I have found these beauties a few times around Oxford but you certainly found a gorgeous example. You might like this mini Volvariella hypopithys or pusilla I found this year on grass, only 2/3cm cap!

I found some daisy earth stars last week, geastrum floriforme. It took ages for me to distinguish between them and the barometers, but your picture perfectly shows the rip in the spore sac as opposed to the raised hole in the daisies🧐

I’m now convinced it is floriforme due to the raised hole more evident in one of 5 new ones found today

Lovely! I think that may be a blusher, the flecks on the top aren’t white enough for pantherina. Panthers have a gutter around the top of the volva.
Does the annulus ( ring) have striations ?
