All the while using their doctrine and generational religious trauma and guilt to squeeze money out of their congregations. They can't implement tithes because of their history, but by god they will get you to open your wallet so often it feels like you're tithing.

The church promised transparency after the pedophile priests came out, but behind closed doors they move in shadows and shuffle their staff and priests around different parishes to cover up one scandal or another. They are, above all else, an un-taxed corporation that puts money above all else.

Meanwhile, my reasons for leaving isn't even necessarily the beliefs. It's the hypocrisy in which the entire organization is run. The few good priests that exist are punished for speaking out when they disagree with something the bishop says. The common priest is disingenuous and egotistical.

Getting a 22-5 KD with 20k healing as Rocket fills me with so much pride and fury when we STILL lose 🫠
