Reporter, now in my 24rh year at same newspaper in western WI. Proud father of boys, ages 10 and 8. Huge fan of wrestling, NBA, MLB, NFL.
There are two NONSENSE stories circulating today and I don't want to read another word about them.

1) Rumors of more GOP House retirements soon
2) Rumors of Patel firing.

I don't want to hear it. At all. It's gossipy. If it happens? Then tell me more.

Let's deal with what is really going on!!

The docs also reveal the number of hours the FBI devoted to the project, which required some agents to work nights and weekends. The FBI paid personnel $851,344 in overtime for working on the Epstein files between March 17 and March 22.

@lorennacleary.bsky.social Just started watching it. They showed the Katy Perry scene from American Idol where she burst into tears and shouted, "This country has f---ing failed us!"

Instant tears on my end.

They are really treading on thin ice here. Even if a document is privileged, the fact of its existence is not.
BREAKING: Prosecutors in the Comey case just told the judge that they’re under orders from the Deputy Attorney Generals’s office not to disclose whether career prosecutors wrote a memo recommending *against* indicting Comey prior to Halligan going to the grand jury.

I want to take a moment to thank the entire Elias Law Group team who worked on the Texas redistricting case as well as our fearless clients. The thirteen Black and Latino voters we represented stood up to challenge Texas's unprecedented mid-decade redistricting. We all ow them a debt of gratitude.

This may be Trump's perfect social media post. A true work of art. He confirms:

✅He personally directs criminal investigations.
✅He is targeting opponents.
✅Epstein "records" exist and he knows the contents.

Bonus points for connecting it to investigation of his fondness for Putin.👀

@radiofreetom.bsky.social I had not heard of "Threads" before but after listening to the podcast, I watched it today. It streams free on Tubi.

WOW. I saw "A Day After" when I was 10 in 1983 and I remember the buzz over that... but somehow never heard of Threads. Thanks for the advice to see it.

Just left the latest hearing in Jim Comey's criminal case. It did not go well for DOJ

The magistrate judge scolded them for an "indict first, investigate second" posture and ordered them to turn over reams of material — including all grand jury info — to Comey's team

@lorennacleary.bsky.social When you look at the county-by-county results tonight... it really makes me wonder how many House seats could have been picked up if the 435 seats were all up today.

The video needs to be viewed. And there needs to be questions asked about how the video shows something completely different than the narrative from ICE.

Abducted, with no warrant, her family couldn’t find her for hours.

Part of me would like to believe that Brett Kavanaugh was in a gnarly mood today because he knows he bears moral responsibility for all these violent kidnappings of US citizens.

But probably he was just trying to do the bidding of someone who might pay off his debts.
