On a personal note, 4 years ago Fages made a phone call to my father during his cancer battle, and boosted his spirits. To have him meet Fages last night was amazing.

Nothing better than buying something online, and then then, after the fact, getting the dreaded AusPost notification:

"Signature Required. If nobody's home, it will be taken to a local Post Office for you to collect"

Just picked a watch for my son this Christmas. Since ditching my AppleWatch I have recognised how a simple timepiece can symbolize so much—responsibility, style, and a touch of sophistication.

There are so many lovely watches that I'm tempted to get one for myself too. Sooo tempting.

On Monday I joined my 14yo nephew for the ceremony celebrating his completion of the year long ‘Rite Journey’, with 1 student per house being awarded for behaviours - putting others first; taking action; doing the jobs no-one wants to do.

Loved seeing young men value the things that matter.

On the streets

At their work

At a bar, party or park

Day/night

Walking, hiking or running

Regardless of how much they’ve drunk or what they are wearing

With men they know or total strangers

Women should be safe everywhere

Fighting the urge to lean into the sillly season, and make some poor decisions.

But poor decisions are such fun!

I work for a small vinyl pressing plant, our customers are mostly independent artists doing small-run pressings. My job is advising people on how it all works.

Here's a short thread outlining the very basic costs of pressing and releasing an album:
