Finished The Crystal Shard. I get why Drizzt Do'Urden became such a popular character. I enjoyed it.

Starting The Patient in Room 18 by Mignon G. Eberhart. I just recently learned about Mignon G. Eberhart, but it seems clear that her work and career should be discussed far more often. #BookSky

Top Shelf Friday time!

What's a comic in your collection that you think deserves to be on that top shelf? Whether it's a key, rare, or just one you love ❤️

Since Netflix announced that an animated series is forthcoming, here's Grim #1, Jenny Frison variant.

I wanted to fill the page after Nichelle Nichols but didn’t see any nearby appearances coming, so I sent my autograph book to the folks at Twin Cities to be signed by @georgetakei.bsky.social at SpaceCon. Since I wasn’t there in person, I had it authenticated, too. Sending it away had me stressed.

Looks like a spot that I tangentially worked on won a silver Clio award. Nice.

And not long ago, I bought the UHD disc! Variety uses almost the same words that Adam did at one point in his review. Thanks for the fun listen, gents!

The perfect gift for someone who loves a horse, but only that one, single horse.

Or someone who’s really into playing schoolyard basketball games.

Finished The Eyre Affair. It's a fun, inventive book. I went in having not read Jane Eyre first, and I'm not sure that was a bad thing. I will likely read more Thursday Next novels in the future.

Next, The Crystal Shard by R.A. Salvatore. I never read these when playing D&D in the '80s.

I watched 33 new-to-me movies in October, and in case I had to miss a day had one in my pocket from September.

9/30 The Creature Walks Among Us, 1956

Weird choices to cap the series. Hyper-aggressive men, some okay strength gags. I’d watch it again, maybe be on @svengoolieofficial.bsky.social.

10/31 pt 2 Halloween II, 2009

I was right. It could be worse. So much acting talent all over this movie, yet it’s not good at all. Glad I capped off seeing them all, but I won’t be revisiting these two.
