Day Three at COP30: freezing AC inside, rainforest heat outside, and 55,000 devices choking the Wi-Fi. Protesters broke through the front entrance (yes, past an actual tank). However, talk continued about justice, education, and who the Paris Promise is truly for.

Full dispatch:

It’s Day Three in Belém, and the rainforest heat (32°C) still rages outside, but inside it’s arctic.

Day Two at #COP30: The chaos is calming, Wi-Fi’s back, and discussions flow from forests to finance to food. Rumours of Gavin Newsom, caffeine shortages, and samba beats mix beneath the Amazon canopy. Belém hums — vibrant, human, unforgettable.

Day Two in Belém and the buzz is building. Still snarled queues, AWOL shuttles, and those infamously overpriced coffees.

Right now I’m juggling six proposals. We’re blessed with lots of new business opportunities.
So if I look a little dazed on Zoom this week, assume I'm mid-pitch-switch.

Anyone else in proposal season?
How are you keeping your brain in one piece?

On World Stroke Day, the message is simple: learn the signs & act quickly.

The easiest way to remember is FAST:

👉 F – Face: Has one side dropped?
👉 A – Arms: Can they raise both arms?
👉 S – Speech: Is it slurred or strange?
👉 T – Time: Call the emergency services immediately.

I’ve put a lot of work into me.

Each step has pushed me to grow in ways I didn’t expect.

The more I learn, the more I realise there’s always more to learn.

And that’s the exciting part.

What’s one thing you’re working on right now to better yourself?

For a long time, I thought resilience meant pushing through no matter what.

However, I’ve begun to realise that real resilience is about finding balance.

It’s knowing when to rest as much as when to push.

How do you give yourself permission to recharge?

Leadership isn’t about having all the answers.

I used to think that was the expectation, that people looked to you for certainty, direction, and a clear plan every time.

But the longer I’ve led, the more I’ve learned that honesty, clarity, and openness matter far more.

Do you find personal images get more engagement than your professional content?

And if they do, why do you think that is?

Confidence isn’t something that just arrives one day.

For me, it’s been built slowly, through small wins and even smaller steps.

Speaking up in meetings. Sharing a thought. Saying yes to opportunities.

Each time, I grew a little.
What’s one step you’ve taken that’s grown your confidence?

Walks are no longer in t-shirts & shorts.
It’s a quiet reminder that seasons change, whether we’re ready for them or not.

At work, we go through our own seasons, too. Times to push forward & times to regroup.

What season are you in right now, pushing forward or slowing down?

Some messages just land perfectly.

Most of the time, it comes down to three things.
Clarity, consistency and compassion.
When these three align, your message doesn’t just get heard; they stick.

Which matters more to you, what you say or how you make people feel when you say it?

Seren is a big dog.

But… She’s also the biggest softie in the house.
She startles easily.

A sneeze?
She’ll trot into the room to check you’re okay.
But the thing that really sets her off… Is the coffee machine.

Do your furry friends have quirks?

Sexual health isn’t just a personal matter.

It’s a human rights issue.

September 4 is World Sexual Health Day, a reminder that access to accurate information, inclusive care and open conversation matters more than ever.

I haven’t been this size since early 2017.

That’s over eight years of avoiding certain shops, hiding in stretch fabrics and quietly pretending that comfort mattered more than confidence.

A moment where you look in the mirror and go, "This fits"

Keep going. The small surprises are worth it.
