It's kind of now or never. Mandami's win in NY kind of let them know we're not playing the same old game. We want reform and we need fighters. I believe in we the ppl to push them into the party we need. It's time!

That is going to be the struggle, yes. And there are already anti-democratic forces within the party that are trying to sabotage it.

It’s important folks understand we can’t & won’t simply return to how things were pre-Trump.
There are millions of us willing to fight to ensure we seize the levers of power in the Democratic Party & govt to permanently repair democracy & eliminate fascism + collaborationism permanently.

There might be a real power vacuum that happens here. And while it might look a personal one with people like Massie and MTG and Vance all vying for the throne, we should also see it as an ideological one.

American neoliberalism has failed. We can either fix it or die.

As I’ve said before I’ll vote dem but we need some changes. Going back to the same old tired ideas and people is not going to bring people out to vote massively like we need to. We don’t have to toss everything but we need some changes every election cycle to improve our country and well being.

Alright I’m there. We have to give Dems something to believe in. I’m so disappointed in many of our current leaders. I don’t want to throw the party out. We need to win but it’s hard to get excited about the same old, same old that isn’t working. Give us something to get excited about!

Let’s work to get them both out. This was a huge vote for the country and they failed us.

So this is to say: It's entirely possible that some of the men you deeply admire, for such good reasons, have done terrible things to women - & those women matter, too.

And also that, if you've been hurt by a Great Man (or a small or middling man) I see you, & I believe you.

And of course, it's not limited to Great Men - it's everywhere, among men small & middling, too. Don't tell anyone - the school needs him, the church needs him, the record label needs him, the family needs him, no one will believe you anyway, bc look at all the good he's done!

So women make these bargains. Ok, he did that, but he changed. Ok he did that, but it was so long ago. Ok he did that, but the song bangs. We pick and choose the men about whom we'll ask questions, because what will be ruined, what will we lose, if we know too much?

And everyone knows it. It's a known-known. If we were to strip our culture of everything tainted by sexual assault and abuse, we would, frankly, have very little left. We move through the world knowing our bodies and our souls are forfeit to society's need for Greatness.

This is what has gotten my attention the most. You can’t believe anyone anymore. Repubs/ dems they all have skeletons to hide in their closets and they cover up for each other so they won’t get outed. Very sick and very sad. At least our eyes are being opened.
