To contextualize this, the Bay Area LOVES a protest!
At the Ferry Building in the backside of what seems to one possibly the biggest protest I’ve seen in 24 years of living in SF. #nokings

Leah and I just got off the stage in DC. More than 200k. Double what we saw for Hands Off! This movement is incredible.

We’re better than fear. We’re braver than billionaires. We’re bigger than ever. And we will win. #NoKings

Hark, Speaker Mike Johnson! Looking at all the many, many pics of the enormous, joyous “No Kings” rallies throughout the United States today, I am struck by what lovely weather your Lord and Savior provided. Apparently, God is a fan of, as you claimed, "America-hating Antifa terrorists." Glory!

Democracy dies in silence.

…when people are too afraid or don’t care enough to speak up.

Not today.

MILLIONS of Americans and allies of freedom and democracy, here and around the world, are taking to the streets.

Showing their love of country and defiance of tyranny.

It’s a beautiful sight.

Fair point - dissent exists even in hostile territory. But electoral majorities still bear responsibility for their choices.

One can simultaneously acknowledge brave protesters in red states while holding their neighbors accountable for enabling tyranny at the ballot box.

In November there will be 42 million Americans who will not have a way to buy groceries due to SNAP benefits getting suspended. Yet, Argentina gets $40 billion from the United States 🤬

What can we do about mainstream media moving right? 1. Give up on some outlets (CBS) and embrace others (The Guardian) 2. Get alternative media to cover more hard news 3. Browbeat outlets into using their agenda-setting and framing powers better. newrepublic.com/article/2016...
The Mainstream Media Is Moving Right. Here’s What We Can Do About It.
At The Washington Post, CBS, and maybe CNN, the trend line is terrible. But liberals do have the power to reverse these trends.
