AI is just those infomercials where someone exaggeratedly fumbles around using an everyday item like bowls before trying to sell you TurboBowls
Jimmy Fallon: "And do you use ChatGPT when raising your baby?"

Sam Altman: "I cannot imagine figuring out how to raise a newborn without ChatGPT."

ND saw all the “hell yeah fight the man” support yesterday and thought “gross, time to be annoying again!”

Get outta here with this BS
Notre Dame AD Pete Bevacqua to DP Show on the ACC: "We were mystified by the actions of the conference to attack their biggest partner really in football...They have certainly done permanent damage to the relationship between the conference and Notre Dame."

I’m very tired of “you shouldn’t be punished for losing in your conf championship game”

You should! It’s a loss! You get resume credit for making the game, and you lose it for losing. It’s just a matter of weighing it all together.

My latest iteration of “fix this shit” is: get rid of the Committee entirely.

One bid to every conference champ (all of them), seeded by rankings. Remove the concept of “but we think Bama is good even though they lost a lot”.

All of this selection bullshit is just making me more furious that Tech faceplanted against NC State and Pitt like absolute morons

Ugh
Buster Faulkner is being hired as Florida’s offensive coordinator by Jon Sumrall, a source confirms. Faulkner spent the last three years as Georgia Tech OC after a three year stint as a Georgia analyst.

Ah yes the trucking industry, one that notoriously can definitely totally handle being messed with without causing massive widespread disruptions to daily life

Just when you think Alcaraz is about to maybe steal the set, Sinner bombs an unreturnable serve

This is actually the correct reaction to having watched that game
Brent Key is having a blast after Georgia Tech's win. #CFB

Figures the first year I move back to Atlanta from Boston that the Jackets finally play a non-Covid game at BC

I probably wouldn’t say it changed me necessarily, but Aurora by Kim Stanley Robinson is one that I periodically keep thinking about, certainly one of the first books I read in my adult life that actually had an impact on me
performative reading, lack of reading skills, nobody's reading anymore -- NO!

tell me about a book that changed you

for me? the *extremely* ahistorical novel, THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY which I read at 13 and was like, "Oh, art can be *everything* to a maker, for good and bad"

Who cares about Bond lore continuity??? The next set should all be throwbacks set in the 60s anyways, just call them “prequels” if it makes you feel better
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

This sounds like a terrible shopping experience
"Store employees are now required to smile if they are within 10 feet of a shopper.

They also must make eye contact with and wave to or greet the customer.

If they’re within four feet, the employee should ask how the customer’s day is going or if they need help."

🙄 Won't stop the boycott, y'all.
Target is now requiring its employees to smile more
As the holiday season fast approaches, Target is urging its employees to add a little more “jolly” to their work routine.

I need to read up on sandwich law, is whether or not the sandwich “exploded” legally pertinent? Is it a lesser sentence if the sandwich stayed more or less whole?

Also you’d have to kill me before I willingly testified “yes your honor, I was scared of a sandwich” in public
The defense team presses Lairmore on whether the sandwich really 'exploded.' They return to the photo of the sandwich and wrapper on the ground.

"That sandwich hasn't exploded at all, has it?" defense asks.

"It looks like a little bit is coming out towards the bottom," Lairmore replies.
