If you are hungry right now in metro Lansing, Michigan, here's a resource you might not have considered:

We have a network of tiny free pantries.

CADL Okemos & Haslett each have one, because libraries are awesome and CADL is the best.

But there are others around the area. Here is a map:

This interactive map allows the community to find each pantry in our network. This service program was created by the cardboard Prophets in collaboration with Home Depot and many community partners ...

going mad because anyone working with medical imaging and segmentation knows there are *specific* models to do this, not LLMs
Elon posted this yesterday. Just for fun I did it with my before/after cancer PET scans that I had already posted online. In the "before" scan Grok missed the massive tumor lighting up my liver, and in both scans it flagged a non-existent "area of concern" in my chest. Other than that, works great!

Counterpoint: The story of the Trump era is in part a story of the collapse of any idea of public civic virtue, and the left needs to respond by reclaiming the language of character and morality. For many, this moral language is going to come from religion, and we need to be comfortable with that.

Yeah, search engine optimization/manipulation has been a thing for a long time, but this version where people just trust what the plagiarism bot says without any further verification makes this extra effective.
I just did the dumbest thing of my entire career to prove a much more serious point.

I tricked ChatGPT and Google, and made them tell other users I’m a competitive hot-dog-eating world champion

People are using this trick on a massive scale to make AI tell you lies. I’ll explain how I did it

Okay so this is true *but* not in the way most people think. Antibiotic overuse is not “I had five ear infections in a year so I took antibiotics five times this year”
It’s
“Farmers feeding antibiotics to chicken to make them fatter and more profitable” and “labs dumping chemicals into the river”
Although in fun news from science, in some ways antibiotics kinda are causing worsening disease as our overuse deepens resistance. There are people in hospitals right now dying of bugs which would have been treatable 20 years ago. Though something tells me this is not the point being made here

“The U.S. is not uniquely illegitimate” suggests, in fact, that the U.S. is illegitimate.

Because that’s how words work and, yes, that is an equivocation.

This is the kind of thing white supremacists have been doing to Emmett Till’s memorial for decades.

It’s wild to see them do this to a white woman who the entire world saw extrajudicially murdered.
Someone doused Renee Good’s Minneapolis memorial and a nearby pile of wood with gasoline and started a fire at about 9 p.m. Tuesday.

I don’t know how anyone could listen to Jasmine Crockett’s full response to Jen Psaki’s question about Stephen Colbert’s interview with James Talarico and have a problem with it.

She’s keeping it real by saying it worked out well for Talarico’s campaign, which is accurate.

How is he fighting for "liberty?" By helping Stephen Miller build a 324,000-foot prison for migrants and refugees.

Ring, and its executives, want to own and operate a massive unaccountable private secret surveillance network.

So that they can use us to help Republican fascists quell the population.

For any "new feature" that any product has - you should consider how that feature set can be further expanded into areas you would rather it not go. Because if they can, they will expand any feature as fully as possible. Even if they promise they will not, assume that they will.
