Tbf I read somewhere that stalin didn't name stuff after himself and thought it was all a bit ridiculous... he just didnt stop his sycophants from doing it. Think the trump thing gives more saddam vibes.
I don't think even Stalin named ships after himself. And battleships, which are... obsolete. The likelihood of them even getting started soon however are, I believe, slim.

Isn't the whole point that it is elitist?
honestly it's more a tradition than a sport at this point and they should lean into it as a silly thing to do as opposed to an actual Sport Event. they're not even NEAR here
