Researcher and practitioner focused on all things behavioural equality. Love to talk fairness, organisational justice, critical diversity studies and organisational change. Cats, concrete, chess and cranes also float my boat.
Any ECR in humanities on here? This network is the bomb. So many great events and access to first stage funding.

Reciprocal writing help? I’m writing a debut novel- it’s the story of my dad’s childhood in Irish industrial homes & lifelong & intergenerational trauma that folllowed. Be good to get some opinions. I’m 57k words in, initial feedback is good. Anyone wanna swap novels and notes? Or just read it?

This is such a beautiful example of how to make an opposing point while keeping everyone onside. Flattery in the comparison, evident knowledge and clear storytelling. Iconic.

For the sake of clarity: I am far more bothered by the drunk man who had a wee in the train carriage the other week cos he couldn’t be bothered to walk a carriage down to a working toilet, than I will ever be by the idea of a trans+ person using any toilet.

I wanted to hear from Black and Brown voices talking about the UK so I set up a media and commentary starter pack.

I'll happily add an account or remove it jlmk

Since publishing this at the weekend ⬇️ I've been overwhelmed with messages from staff affected by redundancy, cuts, closures and state sanctions asking can I advise on wellbeing support and Communities of Care? The answer is yes, try the guide below, but please get in touch if other help is needed.

My heart goes out to the trans community today. Without wanting to draw too much attention to one man in America, it feels important to show that there is stark disagreement with his actions. As a cis-woman it is my hope that enough opinions of support will offer some respite.

Look at the lovely Lego flowers, now look at the important book, now buy and read the important book and support people who take the time to expose these unholy systems of oppression and hatred. Thank you

Not sure what’s worse, that this is happened or that I’m not a bit surprised. I’m lucky enough to have never needed to apply but everyone I know who has has had a nightmare. This has been happening to disabled people for a long time.

For those not sure what alt text is, it’s a description of any photo you place so that visually impaired people know how funny/interesting/clever you are. Or you know - arnt. I’m soothes in as I have good intentions but the memory of a sieve.
Friendly friends: if you go to Settings —> Accessibility Settings, you can flip the switch to be reminded to use alt text every time you post an image. Let’s make the Bluesky as inclusive as possible, eh?

Ever have a lurking problem? When you don’t know what’s bothering you about some until someone writes a paper on it and you think- that, that’s it. Well this is that paper. Thank you @devezer.bsky.social for taking the time to write. Bluesky is already paying off.
Finally our editorial for the "What makes a good theory?" special issue is out (co-edited with @irisvanrooij.bsky.social, @jcskewes.bsky.social, Sashank Varma, and Todd Wareham). It's an interdisciplinary issue and the contents are transdisciplinary.
