Ethan Brookes’s crucial innings of 57 helped Worcestershire to a thrilling three-wicket win on the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method over Hampshire to win the Metro Bank One-Day Cup.
It was the Pears’ first one-day trophy since 1994 and after Brookes fell from his 34-ball innings with just 10 deliveries remaining, Matthew Waite got Worcestershire within striking distance with two big sixes.

In the early hours of yesterday, some morons launched an arson attack on my local football club and daubed racist graffiti around the ground. My son had spent four days there last week painting fences and helping other volunteers spruce up the stadium.
Any help, no matter how small, is invaluable.
