At this point, I think every institution just has to assume that they're not going to get federal funding or at least come up with a contingency plan in the event their federal funding is eliminated.

Cities, states, universities, nonprofits...you just cannot rely on getting money from the feds now.

Not a top reason why it's all collapsing, but the MPA (an advanced degree in governance) not being treated as prestigiously as the MBA, MD or JD has created one more exploitable gap for the right to destroy government.

We only value profit-driven education. Public service is always an afterthought.
