Before the hardcover edition of the image book I worked on was printed, I would see $20 a year. Since those expenses were incurred, I haven’t seen any $$ - in fact I believe we are still 5k in the red, with diminished stock and extremely low sales
My even hotter comics take is if you are a comics creator who makes a significant amount in royalties, you should be transparent about those numbers and the journey you took to get there.
My hot comic take is all wfh comic shit should be paid a salary, every other week, like everyone else at the publishing company. I’m tired of hearing about our colleagues crowdfunding funerals and healthcare.
