I think a lot about how Crazy Rich Asians made a ton of money, huge hit, beloved movie. Sequel, guaranteed hit. And then the Asian woman cowriting the script asked to be paid the same amount as the white man they paired her with, and the studio completely abandoned the sequel rather than do that

I always found Gaiman’s books and his depiction of women icky. I got a bunch of his books at second hand stores when I was young and getting into the genre but could never get through them. I feel vindicated

Occasional reminder that there’s no, “it’s too late, its over” for anthropogenic climate change. Every molecule of CO2 that doesn’t go into the atmosphere makes a difference. Preventing 0.1 degree of warming makes a difference. Every bit of climate resilience we build together makes a difference.
